India secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over the West Indies in the second and final Test match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, completing a 2-0 series sweep. The home team chased down a modest target of 121 runs in the final day’s morning session, with KL Rahul remaining unbeaten on 58 and B Sai Sudharsan contributing 39 runs.
The hosts dominated the series from the start, winning the opener in Ahmedabad inside three days. In the second Test, India set themselves up for victory by posting a massive 518-5 in their first innings before declaring. West Indies struggled in their first innings, getting bowled out for 248, forcing them to follow on.
In their second innings, the visitors showed resilience with centuries from John Campbell and Shai Hope, reaching 390 all out and extending the match into the final day. Despite efforts from West Indies captain Roston Chase, who dismissed B Sai Sudharsan and India captain Shubman Gill, KL Rahul’s steady innings guided India to a comfortable win.
This victory highlights India’s strong batting lineup, effective team strategy, and dominance in home Test conditions, reinforcing their position as one of the leading teams in world cricket.
