Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai is gearing up for the fourth iteration of the Dubai Future Forum, hailed as the world's largest assembly of futurists, with over 200 speakers and 2,500 attendees from more than 100 global institutions. The Dubai Future Foundation organizes this event at the iconic Museum of the Future, where two days are dedicated to exploring transformative forces that will mold humanity's path through 70+ keynotes, interactive sessions, and panels.

This year, five central themes will be examined: Exploring the Unknown, Empowering Societies, Reimagining Health, Optimising Systems, and Foresight Insights, offering a comprehensive view of innovation, human development, and societal changes.

Cutting-Edge Technology Takes Center Stage

Attendees will engage with AI-driven and XR-enhanced experiences, featuring sessions on virtual and augmented reality that provide a unique glance at the future of technology. Interactive installations such as Future Botanica and Aura Forest will merge digital nature with the real world, while VR experiences like The Art of Change and Keepers of the Forest delve into themes of identity, memory, and traditional knowledge.

Highlights from Day 1

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, will kick off the forum with a keynote speech, setting the tone for discussions on global foresight and human advancement. Sessions such as “Building a Regenerative Society” and “Governance for the Long Term” will cover topics like deciphering human consciousness and collaborative R&D in healthcare's future. The day will wrap up with the Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity Awards, recognizing groundbreaking solutions to global issues.

Highlights from Day 2

The second day will emphasize urban development, nature, and creativity, starting with Marwan Bin Ghalita discussing people-centered urban futures. Keynotes will explore sustainability and human creativity, while discussions will focus on collaborative foresight and youth involvement in shaping inclusive futures. Workshops will cover scenario planning, citizen foresight, and narratives that empower communities.

Blending Innovation with Recognition

Alongside the forum, Dubai Future Solutions 2025 will showcase the top 100 innovations from over 3,000 submissions, with five projects selected for advancement. The first-ever Dubai Foresight Awards will celebrate innovators and solutions that prioritize people and the planet, while the Future Stories Awards will honor writers shaping the future narrative. A new Book Corner will feature launches and signings, showcasing foresight literature from around the globe.

Learning Days on the Horizon

In the lead-up to the main event, Learning Days on November 17 and 20 will delve into global security, strategic philanthropy, wearable technologies, urban resilience, and media’s future, connecting research with practical foresight strategies.

With its blend of pioneering discussions, immersive experiences, and diverse global talent, the Dubai Future Forum 2025 looks set to not only envision the future but actively shape it.
