First Look: Jaafar Jackson Captivates in 'Michael' Trailer

The eagerly awaited trailer for the biographical film 'Michael', which delves deep into the life of the iconic pop sensation Michael Jackson, has officially arrived. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and crafted by writer John Logan, the film aims to provide an engaging exploration of a true musical innovator.

Jaafar Jackson, a nephew of the legendary star, showcases a powerful and heartfelt representation of Michael. The trailer highlights his exceptional dance skills alongside vivid recreations of the unforgettable performances that catapulted Jackson to fame.

The supporting cast includes Miles Teller, Larenz Tate, and Laura Harrier, enhancing the narrative's richness.

Initially set to debut on October 3, 2025, the film's premiere is now scheduled for April 24, 2026. With production led by Graham King, John Branca, and John McClain, and executive production by David B. Householter, this movie promises to be a grand homage to a music legend whose impact is felt around the world.

The trailer opens with the poignant line: “I know you have been waiting a long time for this,” inviting audiences to embark on a cinematic adventure through Jackson's astounding journey, creative flair, and enduring legacy. Viewers can expect stunning reenactments of his legendary performances—from the moonwalk to many other memorable dance moments—complemented by the motivational tagline: “Honor your past and embrace the future.”
