Janhvi Kapoor First Look Revealed in Ram Charan’s Sports Drama Peddi

Post by : Rameen Ariff

The much-anticipated sports drama Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has unveiled the first look of actress Janhvi Kapoor, setting the stage for a highly awaited cinematic experience. Starring alongside Ram Charan and Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi’s portrayal of Achiyyamma — a rural woman with a firebrand attitude — is already generating buzz among fans and film critics alike.

On Saturday, the official social media handles of Peddi released two striking posters showcasing Janhvi Kapoor’s character. The first image features her standing confidently in a jeep, greeting a village crowd during a fair, while the second poster captures her performing passionately near a microphone, suggesting her role as a singer deeply rooted in rural traditions.

Fans quickly took to the comments, speculating that Janhvi’s character, Achiyyamma, is a lead singer in a village festival troupe. Many appreciated the authenticity of her rustic look and praised her commanding presence, drawing comparisons to similar iconic roles in regional cinema. One enthusiastic fan even playfully suggested the film’s romance angle, commenting, “Peddi weds Achiyyamma.”

Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers alongside Sukumar Writings. The film promises a star-studded ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani. Adding to the film’s allure is the music by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman, cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, and editing by Navin Nooli.

Ram Charan, who plays the titular role, shared Janhvi’s posters on his social media, fueling excitement and anticipation among fans. The film is slated for a global theatrical release on March 27, 2026.

With Buchi Babu Sana, known for his hit film Uppena, at the helm, Peddi is expected to deliver a powerful narrative combining sports, rural culture, and emotional depth. Janhvi Kapoor’s debut look adds a fresh and vibrant layer to the film’s dynamic storytelling.
