KERNO Launches Its First IT Manufacturing Hub in the UAE

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), presided over the opening of KERNO Enterprises' headquarters and its inaugural manufacturing facility located in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO). This event marks the commencement of the company's operations in the UAE, contributing to the nation’s ambitions in advanced manufacturing and innovation-driven sectors.

The ceremony saw attendance from notable dignitaries including His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ; Christopher Caswell, Co-Founder and CEO of KERNO Enterprises; along with various senior officials and representatives from the private sector.

UAE's Premier IT Hardware Manufacturer

KERNO Enterprises has emerged as the UAE’s first manufacturer dedicated to enterprise information technology hardware. The firm’s focus includes designing, developing, and producing secure technology solutions domestically, aligning with national initiatives to boost technological capabilities, localize advanced industries, and foster a resilient digital economy, particularly in artificial intelligence.

During the facility tour, Sheikh Ahmed observed the manufacturing processes, which encompass assembly lines, rigorous testing, and quality assurance. He was briefed on the diverse range of products being developed, including AI servers, enterprise servers, and state-of-the-art data storage solutions.

Emphasizing Dubai’s Technological Aspirations

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed expressed that Dubai is solidifying its status as a premier destination for tech firms and advanced industries, in line with the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

He highlighted that Dubai’s comprehensive business ecosystem, exceptional infrastructure, and competitive economic framework continue to draw substantial investments and key projects.

Establishing KERNO Enterprises' headquarters at DSO is a significant advancement for the city's manufacturing sector. Sheikh Ahmed emphasized that investments in knowledge, innovation, and technology are vital for crafting a future-ready economy and enhancing Dubai’s economic diversification goals, as outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi remarked that the inauguration of KERNO Enterprises’ facility signifies a pivotal step in the UAE’s mission to establish a varied and competitive economy driven by innovation and technological advancement.

He noted that the initiative exemplifies the UAE's capacity to draw premium investments in transformative sectors and translate them into viable industrial and technological ventures that bolster the national economy.

Furthermore, Al Zeyoudi articulated that the facility will elevate the UAE’s image as a global hub for cutting-edge industries and digital technologies. By manufacturing high-performance tech products locally, it will enhance the competitiveness of UAE exports and foster new international collaborations.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni stated that the unveiling of KERNO Enterprises highlights the growing significance of Dubai Silicon Oasis as a focal point for technology and innovation.

He noted that the DIEZ ecosystem persists in attracting valuable investments, nurturing future industries while offering firms a conducive environment to cultivate advanced technologies for both regional and global markets.

The emphasis on enterprise IT hardware and secure digital infrastructure reaffirms Dubai’s local technology manufacturing capabilities, enhancing its preparedness for the digital economy and artificial intelligence.

Annual Production Capacity: Over 60,000 Tech Products

The manufacturing facility located at Dubai Silicon Oasis is poised to produce more than 60,000 technology products on an annual basis.

Product offerings feature cutting-edge AI servers, enterprise and edge computing servers, homegrown UAE x86 multi-purpose platforms, and enterprise-grade storage solutions suitable for critical applications.

Christopher Caswell, Co-Founder and CEO of KERNO Enterprises, characterized the launch of the headquarters and manufacturing hub as a crucial milestone for the business.
