Khor Al Mamzar Beach Launches in Dubai, Elevating Tourism and Leisure Options

Khor Al Mamzar Beach Launches in Dubai, Elevating Tourism and Leisure Options

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai has proudly inaugurated Khor Al Mamzar Beach, a significant advancement in its portfolio of premium beachfront locations. Initiated under the guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this project aims to enhance infrastructure and position Dubai as an outstanding city to reside in by 2040.

Developed by Dubai Municipality, this beach represents the first stage of the Al Mamzar Beaches enhancement initiative. It is now available to locals, tourists, and visitors, offering a fresh attraction for Dubai's expanding tourism sector.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, along with prominent officials and members of the community. The event featured engaging entertainment and community involvement.

Spanning 2.75 million square feet, Khor Al Mamzar Beach provides a comprehensive experience with relaxation, sports, and leisure amenities. The swimming shoreline has been extended to 3.6 kilometers, reflecting a 128% increase. Additionally, a 300-meter night beach has been established, available around the clock for visitors.

A standout feature is the region's inaugural floating walkway. The beach is complemented by over 5.5 kilometers of tracks for walking, running, and cycling. Guests can enjoy an outdoor gym, volleyball courts, padel courts, and various water activities such as kayaking.

The sandy beach area has surged by 110%, now covering 182,000 square meters. Public amenities have expanded by 400%, with a total of 20 service points and eight recreational zones. The dining options have also significantly increased to 19 outlets.

Safety enhancements include 12 lifeguard towers and 12 emergency call points, ensuring a safe environment for all attendees.

Dubai Municipality anticipates that the Al Mamzar Beaches development will draw in up to 7 million visitors annually upon its completion. This project is part of a broader AED 3 billion beachfront strategy that encompasses endeavors in Jumeirah and other coastal locations.

This initiative reinforces Dubai's long-term objectives, aligning with the Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. It emphasizes enhancing public spaces, advocating for healthy lifestyles, and fostering tourism.

Khor Al Mamzar Beach epitomizes Dubai's ambition to create modern, accessible, and top-quality beachfront destinations for individuals around the globe.
