The Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) has officially kicked off the construction of two significant developments, PIXEL DHCC and IBN SINA+, as part of its expansive AED1.3 billion plan.
These initiatives aim to boost Dubai's standing as a premier global center for healthcare investment while propelling the growth of the local healthcare sector. Completion is anticipated by November 2027.
The unveiling occurred at a ceremony featuring notable figures such as Issam Galadari, CEO of DHCA, Dr. Khalil Charif from International Foundation Group LLC (IFG), Roula El Hachem Terrien of Design and Architecture Bureau (DAR), and James Abbott from P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd, along with various senior officials and stakeholders.
Issam Galadari expressed that these projects mark a crucial advancement in providing sustainable, high-quality healthcare facilities. They are projected to attract increased investment, including foreign capital, while aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
The PIXEL DHCC will feature a contemporary office building, which is slated to be the first LEED Platinum-certified structure within the healthcare city. Spanning 13,000 square meters over nine floors, it will provide adaptable office spaces in addition to ground-floor retail options. P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd is responsible for the design.
Meanwhile, IBN SINA+ will introduce a new medical complex, crafted by local design firm DAR. Covering 5,800 square meters across five stories, it will house areas for surgeries, diagnostics, outpatient care, and medical offices. This complex will expand the existing IBN SINA facility.
Furthermore, DHCA is actively working on essential supporting infrastructure to enhance accessibility and cater to the healthcare community's needs in Dubai Healthcare City.
