Fujairah is set to become the UAE’s first hub for large-scale Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), following a landmark partnership between MENA Biofuels and Evertree announced at ADIPEC 2025. The collaboration strengthens the country’s push toward Net Zero 2050 and aligns with its SAF Roadmap 2030.
Under the new Feedstock MoU, Evertree will supply MENA Biofuels with used cooking oil and other waste-based materials, which will be processed into low-carbon aviation fuel. This partnership ensures a steady, sustainable feedstock for SAF production, reinforcing a circular economy approach in the UAE.
MENA Biofuels’ Chairman, Mohamed Saeed Al Raqbani, highlighted that the deal lays the foundation for a transparent and robust SAF ecosystem. “From sourcing sustainable feedstock to delivering certified SAF, this partnership reflects our commitment to the UAE’s clean energy ambitions,” he said.
The initiative also supports localizing SAF production, making the UAE a competitive player in the renewable fuels sector. Gati Al Jebouri, CEO of MENA Biofuels, emphasized that reliable and sustainable SAF supply chains are crucial for scaling the industry.
Evertree Co-Founder, Anita Lao, added that transforming waste into high-value aviation fuel contributes directly to the UAE’s climate targets while supporting the global shift toward responsible energy.
With this collaboration, Fujairah is poised to emerge as a regional SAF hub, driving low-carbon innovation and strengthening the UAE’s position in sustainable aviation fuels.
