Morocco clinched their progression to the Round of 32 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Haiti during their final Group C encounter on Wednesday night.
The Atlas Lions encountered a rocky start in Atlanta, falling behind twice to a spirited Haitian side. Yet, Morocco managed to respond each time, maintaining their ambitions for qualification.
Achraf Hakimi netted the first equalizer for Morocco, followed by Ismail Saibari leveling the score after Haiti's second goal. Both teams headed into halftime on even terms after an exciting first half.
In the second half, Morocco seized control and leveraged their squad depth effectively. Substitute Soufiane Rahimi gave them the lead for the first time, with fellow substitute Yassine Jassim later sealing the match with a final goal.
