Netflix to Stream Top Spotify Video Podcasts Globally from 2026

Netflix to Stream Top Spotify Video Podcasts Globally from 2026

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Netflix is set to expand its entertainment offerings by adding Spotify’s most popular video podcasts to its platform from early 2026. This new collaboration is part of a distribution deal aimed at giving Netflix viewers more variety beyond traditional movies, TV shows, and reality content, while also helping Spotify creators reach a wider audience through Netflix’s global subscriber base.

The initial lineup of podcasts will include shows like The Dave Chang Show and The Bill Simmons Podcast. However, Spotify’s most popular podcast globally, The Joe Rogan Experience, will not be part of this launch. The curated selection will cover a variety of topics including sports, culture, and true crime, featuring shows such as The Zach Lowe Show, The Rewatchables, The Big Picture, and Serial Killers.

Netflix’s Vice President of Content Licensing and Programming Strategy, Lauren Smith, highlighted the growing popularity of video podcasts, saying, “Our partnership with Spotify allows us to bring full video versions of these top shows to both Netflix and Spotify audiences.” She added that this expansion provides viewers with more entertainment choices while enabling creators to reach new fans.

Spotify’s Vice President and Head of Podcasts, Roman Wasenmüller, said the collaboration will offer creators new opportunities for distribution and engagement. He emphasized that the partnership unlocks a “completely new distribution opportunity” for video podcasts.

The video podcast content will first launch in the United States, followed by an international rollout. Financial details of the partnership have not been disclosed. This move underscores Netflix’s commitment to diversifying its platform and tapping into the fast-growing video podcast segment, giving subscribers fresh, engaging, and interactive content.

With the launch of Spotify podcasts on Netflix, fans can expect easy access to some of the most popular shows, all in high-quality video format, making it a major step in the evolution of streaming entertainment.
