Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Separate After 19 Years of Marriage

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Separate After 19 Years of Marriage

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and country music superstar Keith Urban have reportedly ended their 19-year marriage, according to multiple media reports. Sources indicate that the couple began living separately in early summer, with Urban moving out of their Nashville home and purchasing a new residence in the city, known as the heart of country music.

Reports suggest that Kidman has opposed the separation and has been making efforts to preserve the marriage. Neither Kidman nor Urban’s representatives have publicly commented on the matter, and independent confirmation remains pending.

The couple, both dual citizens of Australia and the United States, first met in January 2005 at a Hollywood event promoting Australia and married the following year in Sydney. They share two daughters, Faith Margaret, 14, and Sunday Rose, 17. Kidman also has two adopted children from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise.

Kidman, 58, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours, most recently celebrated an anniversary with Urban in June, sharing a photo on social media. Urban, 57, posted pictures of the couple in May at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, where he received the ACM Triple Crown award.

Professionally, Kidman recently completed work on the sequel to Practical Magic alongside Sandra Bullock, while Urban has been touring since May in support of his 11th studio album, High. The separation marks a significant change for the high-profile pair, who have long been considered one of the most prominent celebrity couples in entertainment.
