UAE Firms Unite to Revolutionize Offshore Renewable Energy

UAE Firms Unite to Revolutionize Offshore Renewable Energy

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Abu Dhabi, UAE – In a significant move for the region’s clean energy ambitions, Noatum Maritime, a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, has partnered with Siemens Energy and Green Parrot Tech FZE (GPT) to explore opportunities in offshore renewable energy. The collaboration aims to combine logistics, engineering, and technological expertise to simplify and accelerate the development of offshore renewable infrastructure.

The partnership will focus on integrated solutions for offshore substations, power grid networks, and floating energy systems, including floating power plants and regasification units. By pooling their strengths, the companies intend to create a seamless, end-to-end platform for renewable energy developers, reducing project complexity and enhancing operational efficiency.

Noatum Maritime brings its extensive offshore logistics and fabrication experience to the table, while Siemens Energy contributes global technology expertise in electrical systems and renewable energy solutions. GPT adds advanced offshore infrastructure capabilities, offering strategic locations and assets for floating energy installations. Together, the trio seeks to address challenges across the entire lifecycle of offshore energy projects, from design and construction to operations and maintenance.

The UAE has been steadily advancing its renewable energy agenda, and this collaboration aligns closely with national goals, including the Net Zero by 2050 strategy. By integrating multiple competencies under one framework, the partnership aims to boost local value creation, improve cost efficiency, and accelerate the deployment of sustainable energy solutions across the region.

Industry observers see this initiative as a critical step toward strengthening energy resilience and reducing dependency on conventional fuels. The collaboration could set a benchmark for future offshore projects, combining technological innovation with strategic operational execution to deliver smarter, scalable, and more sustainable energy infrastructure.
