Nu Holdings Surpasses Expectations with Q3 Performance

Nu Holdings Surpasses Expectations with Q3 Performance

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Nu Holdings Ltd. (NU) showcased remarkable quarterly results, achieving earnings of $0.17 per share, exceeding analysts’ predictions of $0.15. This marks an increase from $0.12 per share a year earlier, demonstrating robust growth in its core business.

The earnings surprise of 13.3% follows a previous quarter where Nu modestly topped forecasts by 7.7%. In the past year, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates in two of its last four quarters.

Impressive revenue growth captured investor attention, with the fintech leader reporting $4.17 billion for the quarter ending September 2025. This figure surpassed the Zacks consensus estimate by 3.36% and is a notable increase from $2.94 billion reported the previous year. Nu has outperformed revenue expectations twice in the last four quarters, demonstrating steady top-line growth.

Nu’s stock has responded positively, experiencing a rise of approximately 56.2% year-to-date, significantly outperforming the S&P 500's 16.5% increase. The upward trend in share prices reflects investor confidence in the company’s earnings growth and expanding influence in the foreign banking sector.

Looking forward, analysts project an EPS of $0.16 with revenues of $4.27 billion for the upcoming quarter, while expectations for the full year are at $0.56 on $15.22 billion in revenues. The positive earnings outlook, bolstered by favorable estimate revisions, supports its Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), suggesting potential near-term gains.

Nu belongs to the Banks - Foreign industry, which ranks in the top 31% of over 250 sectors monitored by Zacks. Historical trends show that top-ranked industries typically outperform lower-ranked peers, adding confidence for investors observing Nu’s performance.

On a related note, industry peer VersaBank (VBNK) has yet to公布其季度业绩。 该行预计每股收益为 0.24 美元,收入为 2427 万美元,与 Nu 相比,增长前景相对一般。

With solid earnings and revenue growth already achieved, the spotlight remains on Nu’s ability to maintain its momentum and how forthcoming earnings revisions might influence the stock’s future trajectory.
