PFL's Road to Dubai: Nurmagomedov vs. Davis on 7 February 2026

PFL's Road to Dubai: Nurmagomedov vs. Davis on 7 February 2026

Post by : Maya Rahman

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has revealed that the third installment of PFL: Road to Dubai is set for an exhilarating MMA evening at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Saturday, 7 February 2026. This event exemplifies the growing collaboration between PFL, the Dubai Sports Council, and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, solidifying Dubai's status as a premier destination for significant sporting events.

The matchup will headline the event with undefeated PFL Lightweight World Champion Usman Nurmagomedov, boasting an impeccable record of 20 wins, 0 losses, and one no-contest. Usman will defend his title for the first time against Alfie “The Axe Man” Davis, the victor of the 2025 PFL Lightweight World Tournament. Davis enters this showdown with a solid record of 20-5-1, and MMA enthusiasts around the globe are eager for this clash. Additional fights for this event will be announced soon.

Fans wishing to get early access to tickets can register for the pre-sale until 12:00 PM GST on Friday, 21 November. Registered individuals will gain a 72-hour period to buy tickets before the general sale opens on Monday, 24 November at 12:00 PM GST. The PFL anticipates a massive audience at the Coca-Cola Arena for what promises to be one of Dubai’s most significant MMA events.

Usman Nurmagomedov steps into the limelight following two significant victories against Ireland’s Paul Hughes, showcasing elite striking and wrestling skills across ten demanding rounds. Under the mentorship of MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, Usman has emerged as a formidable force in the sport. He believes he is prepared to demonstrate the difference in skill and experience against Alfie Davis when they meet in the cage for his third main event in Dubai.

On the opposite end, Alfie Davis approaches this opportunity with fierce momentum and resolve. Despite being labeled the underdog in the 2025 tournament, Davis triumphed over the top favorites in each of his three matches, earning not only the championship but also a $500,000 prize. His victory over Gadzhi Rabadanov, a teammate of Usman, underscores that he is a contender not to be underestimated. Davis is celebrated for his unpredictable karate-inspired style, landing strikes from unusual angles. His spinning elbow knockout of Clay Collard and impressive axe-kick finishes have established him as a respected fighter, earning him the moniker “The Axe Man”.

PFL CEO John Martin voiced his enthusiasm for the event, stating that Road to Dubai promises to be one of the most thrilling MMA nights the city has ever seen. He noted how Usman Nurmagomedov continues to shine as a dominant champion, while Alfie Davis finds ways to challenge expectations. Martin urged fans to secure their tickets as this will be the most ambitious fight card PFL has brought to Dubai to date.

Eisa Sharif, Director of the Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, stressed the significance of events like this for Dubai. He mentioned that the support from the Dubai Sports Council underscores the city’s dedication to hosting elite sports competitions, enhancing its global sports reputation, and inspiring local communities to embrace sports and a healthy lifestyle.

As anticipation builds toward February 2026, PFL: Road to Dubai is poised to be a night brimming with outstanding talent, international flair, and an electrifying title showdown that MMA fans will not want to miss.
