At NYU Abu Dhabi, researchers have developed a groundbreaking AI tool known as LA⁴SR, which has the capability to swiftly uncover hidden proteins within microalgae—microscopic organisms that play a crucial role in producing significant amounts of the Earth’s oxygen and sustaining aquatic life. Microalgae are vital to ecological health, yet analyzing their proteins has historically posed considerable challenges. The system operates approximately 10,000 times faster than conventional methods, significantly conserving scientists’ time and resources.
