Oman Condemns Attack on Kuwait, Shows Support

Oman Condemns Attack on Kuwait, Shows Support

Post by : Shakul

Oman has strongly condemned the recent targeting of the sisterly State of Kuwait, expressing firm solidarity and unwavering support for Kuwait’s security, sovereignty, and national stability. The statement reflects Oman’s consistent diplomatic position of rejecting violence and advocating peaceful coexistence in the Gulf region.

In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Muscat, Oman described the incident as a serious and unacceptable development that threatens regional peace and stability. The Sultanate emphasized that any form of military escalation or provocative action undermines the security of nations and puts civilian lives and infrastructure at risk.

Oman reaffirmed its complete rejection of all actions that violate the sovereignty of states or endanger their territorial integrity. The statement stressed that respecting international law and the principles of good neighborliness remains essential for maintaining long-term peace in the region.

The Sultanate further expressed its full solidarity with Kuwait and its people during this sensitive time. Oman also supported the measures taken by Kuwait to safeguard its security and maintain internal stability, highlighting the importance of unity among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states in the face of regional challenges.

Oman called upon all parties involved in regional tensions to exercise maximum restraint and avoid steps that could further escalate the situation. It warned that continued escalation could expand the cycle of confrontation and create broader instability across the region, affecting economic development and humanitarian conditions.

The statement also urged the international community and regional actors to intensify diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation. Oman emphasized that dialogue, negotiation, and diplomatic engagement remain the only viable and sustainable path to resolving disputes and preventing further conflict in the Gulf and the wider Middle East.

Reiterating its long-standing foreign policy principles, Oman highlighted its commitment to peacebuilding, mediation, and regional stability. The Sultanate has historically played a balanced diplomatic role, encouraging peaceful solutions and rejecting interference or aggression in the internal affairs of states.

Oman concluded by reaffirming that the security of Kuwait is an integral part of Gulf security, and any threat to one nation is a threat to all. The country expressed hope that wisdom and diplomacy will prevail, ensuring stability, security, and prosperity for all peoples of the region.
