In a significant move, the Community Development Authority (CDA) of Dubai has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious luxury brand Louis Vuitton, aimed at increasing job opportunities for Emirati citizens and People of Determination.
This collaboration seeks to forge new career paths in sectors encompassing retail, fashion, and craftsmanship, aligning with Dubai's aim to foster an inclusive and productive society while enhancing its global standing in social and economic empowerment.
Emirati participants will gain specialized training in vital skills such as tailoring, repairs, inventory management, retail sales, and effective communication. The program also emphasizes the integration of People of Determination into the workforce via tailored training initiatives, assistive technologies, and personalized workplace support.
Moreover, this partnership promotes sustained career growth, nurtures corporate social responsibility, and backs volunteer initiatives, with a pronounced focus on empowering women and promoting inclusivity.
Maitha Al Shamsi, the Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA, expressed that this collaboration showcases their commitment to enhancing Emirati lives by equipping them with practical skills and sustainable job avenues. She noted that partnerships with global brands bolster public-private synergy, enabling individuals to contribute meaningfully to both society and the economy.
Miguel Vargas, Managing Director of Louis Vuitton Middle East, affirmed the brand’s dedication to supporting Emirati talent and fostering inclusion. According to him, this initiative is poised to deliver genuine career opportunities across retail, customer experience, and craftsmanship, while also empowering individuals with confidence and independence.
This MoU is in line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which emphasizes empowering Emiratis, enhancing their economic involvement, and fostering a balanced and sustainable community.
The joint effort aims to yield long-lasting social and economic benefits, particularly for the youth and People of Determination, through skill enhancement, accessible employment opportunities, and knowledge sharing.
