A devastating crash occurred on Monday when a chartered aircraft struck Ara Hill in Jashpur district, Chhattisgarh. The plane reportedly collided with the hillside prior to the crash, leading to a tragic loss of life. Both the pilot and co-pilot were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are yet to verify if there were additional passengers aboard the aircraft at the time of the accident.
Immediately after the incident, senior police officials, including SSP Lal Ummed Singh, rushed to the site. Ongoing rescue and recovery efforts are underway.
Visuals emerging from the crash site captured large plumes of smoke and flames emanating from the wreckage, which have circulated extensively on social media.
The local administration has initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the crash and is collecting further information from the area.
