Harleen Kaur Deol Asks PM Modi About His Glow; PM Credits Discipline and Simple Living

Harleen Kaur Deol Asks PM Modi About His Glow; PM Credits Discipline and Simple Living

Post by : Saif Rahman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Indian women’s cricket team to his residence on November 5 to mark their ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 triumph. The gathering was upbeat and proud, and at one point cricketer Harleen Kaur Deol posed a light-hearted question about his skincare routine that drew laughter and warmed the room.

Mr Modi responded with modesty, saying he does not use specialised cosmetics. He noted his 25 years in public life and suggested the shine on his face comes from the blessings he receives from people, offering a simple, unassuming answer that resonated with attendees.

This exchange echoed a past moment in 2020, when he quipped that long hours and perspiration act like a natural facial massage, keeping his complexion fresh—another humorous take on the same topic.

Beyond jokes, Mr Modi’s daily regimen is consistently disciplined: early rising, a regular yoga practice, and meditation form the backbone of his routine. His eating habits are plain and measured, with an emphasis on light, clean meals rather than heavy or oily foods.

Fasting is a long-standing element of his lifestyle. He has said fasting sharpens focus and boosts energy rather than causing weakness. During Chaturmas he typically consumes a single meal a day, and in Shardiya Navratri he has followed a pattern of drinking only hot water and avoiding solid food. He has maintained these practices for roughly 50 to 55 years.

Now 74, Mr Modi continues to work extended hours and travel frequently for official duties. His schedule underlines how steady habits, discipline and mental equilibrium can contribute to sustained health.

The visit with India’s women cricketers was both a celebration of sporting success and a reminder that commitment and focus underpin achievement. The players left clearly pleased and appreciated by the prime minister.

The brief, friendly moment when Harleen asked about his skincare circulated widely online, and it served to underline a broader point: a healthy appearance and vitality often reflect disciplined living more than cosmetic routines.
