Filming for Prabhas’ Spirit Kicks Off in Late November 2025

Filming for Prabhas’ Spirit Kicks Off in Late November 2025

Post by : Meena Ariff

The much-anticipated film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas, is set to begin shooting at the end of November 2025. This announcement was made during the pre-release event for the Telugu film Jigris, generating buzz within both fans and the industry.

Rumors regarding South superstar Chiranjeevi playing Prabhas' father role have been dispelled by Vanga, ensuring fans know he will not be joining the cast.

In Spirit, Prabhas will portray a former IPS officer and has undergone a significant physical transformation for the role, shedding weight to embody the character authentically. Additionally, he is scheduled to conduct a look test to align with the director's vision.

The narrative follows Prabhas’ character who finds himself incarcerated under a strict warden, played by Prakash Raj. Early teasers suggest gripping confrontations and a storyline focused on justice, discipline, and personal redemption.

In a creative promotional twist, Vanga shared a unique “sound-story” teaser on Prabhas’ birthday earlier this year, diverging from conventional trailers. This teaser, utilizing voiceovers and sound design in five Indian languages, captivates audiences with its immersive experience and a compelling background score from Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

This teaser offers glimpses of Prabhas as a disciplined officer encountering unexpected trials, prominently featuring a memorable line where he states, “I have had just one bad habit since childhood,” momentarily showcasing the intensity that fans expect from Vanga’s storytelling.

The film will introduce Triptii Dimri as the lead actress alongside a talented supporting cast, which includes notable names like Prakash Raj, Vivek Oberoi, and Kanchana, promising rich performances.

This project marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, raising expectations due to Vanga’s history of successful films and Prabhas’ extensive fanbase. Spirit is anticipated to blend action, emotional narrative, and moments that resonate with fans, making it a highly awaited release next year.

As filming approaches, followers are eager for updates on Prabhas’ character design, the release schedule, and plot particulars. Spirit is poised to deliver a thrilling cinematic experience, rich in drama and powerful performances.
