Indian Idol 3 Star Prashant Tamang Passes Away in His Sleep

Post by : Meena Ariff

The sudden passing of Indian Idol 3 winner Prashant Tamang has left fans and admirers in shock. The 43-year-old singer and actor reportedly passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 11, leaving a void in the music and entertainment world.

Speaking about the tragedy, Prashant’s wife, Martha Aley, confirmed that his death was natural. “He was in his sleep when he left us. I was right beside him at that time,” she shared, urging fans to remember him for his talent and kind nature rather than focus on speculation.

Since his passing, heartfelt messages, flowers, and tributes have poured in from across India and abroad. Martha expressed gratitude to everyone for their support and asked fans to keep Prashant in their prayers.

Prashant’s mortal remains were brought to Darjeeling for his last rites, with family, friends, and fans gathering to bid him a final farewell. Leaders and colleagues remembered his remarkable journey—from winning Indian Idol 3 to building a successful career in Nepali cinema and appearing in popular web series.

Born in Darjeeling, West Bengal, Prashant made a mark with films such as Gorkha Paltan, Angalo Yo Maya Ko, and Nishani, while also contributing to projects highlighting Gorkha soldiers’ bravery. His soulful voice and humble personality won him fans worldwide, making his sudden departure even more heartbreaking.

Prashant Tamang will be remembered as a gifted artist and a truly inspiring figure who touched countless lives with his music and performances.
