Post by : Badri Ariffin

The State of Qatar has expressed its approval of the recently declared ceasefire in Lebanon, hailing it as a constructive step toward reducing tensions and fostering regional stability. Doha has emphasized the necessity for all involved parties to fully and promptly adhere to the ceasefire to ensure its effectiveness and curb potential unrest.

In a statement released on Thursday, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that maintaining calm is vital, and strict compliance with the agreement is essential for preventing a resurgence of conflict.

The ministry also acknowledged the diplomatic contributions made by United States President Donald Trump, recognizing his efforts in promoting dialogue and mediation that led to this truce.

Qatar conveyed its hope that this ceasefire will strengthen ongoing international and regional pursuits aimed at securing a comprehensive and enduring peace. The statement reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to diplomatic approaches and constructive conflict resolution.
