Post by : Meena Ariff

Actor Rajat Bedi recently spoke about his experiences in the industry while promoting Aryan Khan’s directorial venture, The Ba**ds of Bollywood. He reflected on the various obstacles and missed opportunities that have contributed significantly to his development as an actor.

Bedi recalled a particular moment where he was contacted by Salman Khan’s team for a role in the film Radhe, but upon meeting him during a shoot, Salman advised, “You are not going to do it. I will give you something better.” Bedi appreciated this gesture, believing it spared him from a role that may not have matched his strengths.

A Blessing in Disguise

He expressed, “This gesture truly moved me. It made me see that sometimes what appears to be a setback can actually lead to greater opportunities,” reinforcing his belief in the silver linings of adversity.

Pandemic's Impact and Renewed Chances

Bedi elaborated on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the film industry, noting that it caused delays and challenges. “When Covid-19 struck, it changed everything. But then Aryan’s offer came about in December 2022, and the journey revitalized itself,” he shared, acknowledging how these experiences have molded him into a stronger artist.
