Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh has recently addressed misleading claims made by a man posing as a medical professional who alleged that she had undergone plastic surgery. The actor, known for her fitness and striking screen presence, became the subject of online speculation after the man, claiming to be a cosmetic surgeon, shared a video comparing her past and present photos. In the video, he suggested that Rakul had Botox, fillers, and a nose job, and criticised her for not publicly acknowledging cosmetic procedures while focusing on fitness, which he claimed set unrealistic standards for her fans.
Responding firmly, Rakul Preet Singh took to Instagram to clarify the situation, warning her followers about the dangers of misleading content from self-proclaimed experts. She wrote, “Fraud alert: it’s scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misleading people.” She emphasised that while she respects anyone’s choice to undergo cosmetic procedures, spreading baseless claims under the guise of science is unacceptable.
Rakul also highlighted that her physical transformation is a result of disciplined fitness and consistent hard work, not surgical interventions. She added, “Being an actor who understands ancient and modern science, I have no issues if people do surgeries, but there is also another thing called weight loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that?” She urged her followers to “beware of such ‘doctors’” and not fall for unfounded claims.
The actress has been receiving praise for her recent work in De De Pyaar De 2, where she starred alongside R. Madhavan, Ajay Devgn, and Meezaan Jaffri. The film earned over ₹111 crore worldwide and was appreciated for her performance. Rakul is now preparing for her upcoming films, including Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, directed by Mudassar Aziz and starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi, scheduled for release in March 2026. She is also part of the highly anticipated project Indian 3.
Rakul Preet Singh’s proactive response not only addressed the false claims but also served as an important reminder about the pressures celebrities face regarding body image and public scrutiny. By highlighting the role of fitness and personal effort in her appearance, she encouraged her fans to value discipline and healthy lifestyle choices while remaining cautious of unverified medical claims circulating online.
This incident has sparked discussions about online harassment, celebrity body shaming, and the responsibility of social media users in sharing accurate information, making Rakul’s response a significant moment in promoting awareness and accountability.
