Rashmika Expresses Gratitude to Vijay Deverakonda for His Support in 'The Girlfriend'

Rashmika Expresses Gratitude to Vijay Deverakonda for His Support in 'The Girlfriend'

Post by : Meena Ariff

Rashmika Mandanna has shared her heartfelt thanks to her alleged fiancé, Vijay Deverakonda, following his public endorsement of her newest venture, The Girlfriend.

On her X account, Rashmika remarked, “This is something powerful, deeply significant. It might be a tough pill to swallow – wonderfully articulated! Thank you. It is a SLOW BURN that LASTS LONG.”

She mentioned that Vijay has been involved with the film since its conception and expressed her hopes that he is proud of her performance.

Previously, Vijay had posted the trailer for The Girlfriend, lauding the movie and acknowledging the hard work of its cast and crew. In his message, he said:

"I'm aware they have crafted something significant. Something meaningful. Something challenging to grasp. All performances are top-notch, and what @23_rahulr has accomplished with @iamRashmika, @Dheekshiths, and @ItsAnuEmmanuel is set to leave an impact. Tomorrow, we’ll witness this unfold with #TheGirlfriend; go experience it in theaters and reflect. Sending love and big hugs to the entire cast and crew."

The mutual affection between Rashmika and Vijay surfaces amid reports of their recent engagement. Sources indicate that the intimate ceremony took place on October 3 at Vijay Deverakonda’s home in Hyderabad, with only close family in attendance. While neither party has publicly confirmed the engagement, reports are hinting at a wedding slated for February 2026.

On a professional note, The Girlfriend, featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty, officially released in theaters on November 7. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, this Telugu film delves into the intricacies of a romantic relationship, focusing on a girlfriend who seeks a "small break," only for Dheekshith’s character to display erratic and alarming behavior, leading to a compelling and emotive story.

Meanwhile, Rashmika is also poised for another significant release, Cocktail 2, where she will headline the cast.
