As members of the famed Kapoor family, siblings Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor live much of their lives in the spotlight. However, their bond has remained a steadfast anchor amid the public eye. This Bhai Dooj, Riddhima offered heartfelt insights about her relationship with Ranbir, emphasizing how their ties are rooted in authenticity and care.
In an exclusive interview, Riddhima shared, “Our sibling relationship has always felt normal, despite the fame surrounding us. Inside our home, we experienced the ups and downs of being brother and sister just like anyone else.” From playful teasing to comforting one another, they have navigated life with a deep protective instinct for each other.
Riddhima highlighted shared childhood moments, humorously recalling, “We’d often squabble over the TV remote – just classic sibling rivalry!” Such stories remind us that, irrespective of their public personas, Riddhima and Ranbir enjoyed the same simple conflicts and joys as many siblings do.
The siblings faced profound loss together when they lost their father, iconic actor Rishi Kapoor, in 2020. Riddhima remarked, “Losing Papa only strengthened our bond.” The shared grief further solidified their emotional support for one another, showcasing a unique understanding that transcends what outsiders might grasp.
Discussing their personalities, Riddhima noted, “We both value family and our relationships deeply, but Ranbir is the calm one while I’m more impulsive!” This blend of character traits provides balance in their relationship, fostering mutual support as they navigate their individual paths.
Riddhima regards Ranbir as her “biggest cheerleader,” appreciating his guidance as she prepares to debut in Bollywood alongside comedian Kapil Sharma. Their connection, built on respect and care, extends beyond nostalgia, serving as vital support in both personal and professional realms.
Although separated by distance this Bhai Dooj—with Riddhima in Delhi—they ensure their celebrations continue. Riddhima expressed, “I’ll initiate a video call so we can exchange best wishes.” This dedication underlines their emotional closeness, proving that true sibling bonds prevail over physical distance.
Through the years, Riddhima and Ranbir’s relationship represents familial warmth in an industry often complicated by public scrutiny. Their playful dynamic highlights that fame doesn’t erase the simple joys of siblinghood, showcasing that true connection is built on empathy and love.
As Riddhima embraces new challenges in her Bollywood journey, her bond with Ranbir remains a steadfast source of encouragement. From childhood skirmishes over remote control to supporting each other through the loss of their father, they exemplify the enduring nature of family ties. This Bhai Dooj serves as a poignant reminder that amidst the glamour, the true essence of family—filled with laughter, support, and love—stands strong in their hearts.
