Rolling Loud, renowned as one of the premier Hip-Hop festivals globally, celebrated its inaugural event in India this past Saturday at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The festival featured two stages, ensuring attendees revel in a continuous array of performances.
The first day kicked off with an exciting lineup of both Indian and international talents. Unfortunately, Los Angeles singer-songwriter Allyn had to pull out due to a foot injury, yet she promised to return in a wheelchair for day two.
India’s pioneering all-female Hip-Hop collective, Wild Wild Women, captivated audiences with their stunning attire and electrifying performances. American rapper Dababy kept the crowd engaged, interacting playfully and spraying water during his electrifying set.
Swae Lee delivered one of the standout performances, treating fans to popular tracks such as Sunflower, No Type, Black Beatles, and Unforgettable. He even ignited excitement with a surprise reveal about upcoming new music in January.
Indian rapper Hanumankind, who recently bounced back from knee surgery, showcased his resilience with hits like Police at the Door and Monsoon Season. His act featured the dance crew Kings United, amplifying the vibe with their spectacular choreography.
Wiz Khalifa took listeners on an emotional ride, performing hits like Young Wild and Free and We Dem Boyz, culminating with a poignant dedication of See You Again to late artists, their images illuminated on the screen.
The night wrapped up with British rapper Central Cee showcasing his track Truth in the Lies, dressed in a T-shirt adorned with Lord Shiva, complemented by a green beanie and chunky necklace. A viral clip of him playing cricket in Mumbai ahead of his set, coupled with footage of a minor altercation among festival-goers, circulated widely.
The inaugural Rolling Loud India left fans exhilarated, merging high-energy performances, an extraordinary lineup, and memorable moments, paving the way for an exciting day two.
