Ronaldo Inspires Al Nassr to 4-0 Triumph Over Al Wasl

Ronaldo Inspires Al Nassr to 4-0 Triumph Over Al Wasl

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Cristiano Ronaldo shone brightly as Al Nassr achieved a resounding 4-0 triumph over Al Wasl during the AFC Champions League 2 quarter-finals held at Zabeel Stadium on Sunday.

The Portuguese forward made his mark early, finding the net within the opening 15 minutes after expertly connecting with a pinpoint cross, setting the tone for the match.

Al Nassr dictated the pace from the beginning, dominating possession and effectively neutralizing Al Wasl’s attacks throughout the first half. While all eyes were on Ronaldo, other pivotal players also made significant contributions.

João Félix was instrumental in midfield, crafting several scoring opportunities with precise passes. His efforts bore fruit in the 24th minute, culminating in Iñigo Martínez heading in a perfectly placed delivery to double Al Nassr's lead.

Al Wasl attempted to mount a comeback, with Brahian Palacios nearly scoring, only to see his shot miss the target by a whisker. Nevertheless, Al Nassr maintained dominance, extending their lead just before halftime when Abdulelah Al-Amri scored, bringing the score to 3-0.

The second half featured fewer offensive plays, yet Al Nassr continued to control the game and hold onto their advantage.

As the match drew to a close, Sadio Mané sealed the deal by netting the fourth goal, solidifying a remarkable win for the Saudi players.

This victory propels Al Nassr into the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League 2, reinforcing their ambitions for the title.
