Telangana has secured a ₹10,000-crore agreement with Salman Khan Ventures Pvt. Ltd. for a cutting-edge film production and integrated township project during the Telangana Rising Global Summit. This landmark investment is poised to be one of the largest in the state's creative economy, significantly enhancing Telangana’s position on the global stage.
The groundwork for this collaboration was initiated when Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met the Bollywood icon, Salman Khan, in Mumbai in late October 2025. The Chief Minister invited Khan to play a pivotal role in the “Telangana Rising” initiative intended to attract substantial Bollywood investments into South India.
Khan commended the state’s impressive infrastructure development and proactive governance, indicating his eagerness to assist in its international marketing efforts. This fruitful dialogue catalyzed further negotiations, culminating in the memorandum of understanding for a vast studio complex in Bharat Future City.
Officials anticipate that this venture will create thousands of job opportunities across various sectors, covering direct and indirect roles in construction, film production services, technical professions, tourism facilitation, and hospitality.
At the heart of the project will be a state-of-the-art film studio capable of accommodating large-scale cinematic ventures, OTT development, post-production, and advanced VFX services. This strategic move aims to establish Hyderabad as a key location for film production, attracting projects from Bollywood, regional South Indian industries, and Hollywood.
The integrated township will boast high-end facilities, including a championship golf course, racetrack, premium residential areas, and designated hospitality spaces. This fusion of entertainment options with luxury urban amenities is expected to significantly enhance luxury tourism in the area.
Talent development is a core focus of the initiative, incorporating training programs designed to elevate the skills of local artists, technicians, and production staff to meet global standards. Officials foresee this creating a robust talent pool to foster the long-term growth of the creative ecosystem.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the investment, stating that this initiative will strengthen Telangana's reputation as a premier destination for filmmaking, entertainment, and luxury urban projects. The state government has assured strong support for regulatory frameworks, land allocation, and infrastructure development to ensure seamless execution.
