Donia Abu Taleb of Saudi Arabia achieved a remarkable victory by securing a gold medal in taekwondo at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Sports Games in Riyadh 2025. Her win in the under-51 kg category has propelled the Kingdom to sixth place overall, accumulating a total of 29 medals—seven gold, three silver, and 19 bronze.

In a challenging final showdown against Turkey's Elif Akgül, Abu Taleb showcased her exceptional skills and determination, ultimately winning 2–0. Her outstanding performance not only earned her the top podium position but also garnered praise from officials, fans, and fellow competitors. This victory marks a significant milestone in her athletic career and illustrates Saudi Arabia's strengthening footprint in international taekwondo.

The taekwondo competitions occurred at the prestigious Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City, a key venue in Riyadh, where athletes from the Islamic world showcased their talents and fierce spirit across various weight categories.
