Sharjah Equestrian Club Kicks Off New Racing Season

The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club is ready to launch its 2025–2026 horse racing season this Sunday. This highly anticipated event marks the beginning of a series of thrilling races that attract numerous fans throughout the UAE each year. The inaugural race will kick off a total of six races scheduled at the Sharjah track this season, creating an exciting atmosphere as spectators, horse owners, and racing professionals come together to share the thrill of competitive racing.

Additionally, the club has announced dates for the remaining five races of the season. Following the opening race, events will occur on 23rd November, 21st December, and 28th December. The action continues into 2026 with races set for 18th January and 25th January. This well-structured schedule allows trainers, jockeys, owners, and fans to prepare adequately for each event and fully enjoy the season.

Horse racing is a cherished sporting tradition in the UAE, and it sees strong participation from both local and international owners. The UAE's nationwide racing calendar comprises 63 races across five major racecourses, showcasing the growth of horse racing and the ongoing enthusiasm surrounding the sport.

Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club plays a crucial role in advancing and supporting horse racing in the UAE. Each year, the club draws in both new and seasoned owners, trainers, and jockeys, with its track noted for its excellent organization, fair competition, and commitment to nurturing the sport's development. The club collaborates closely with horse breeders and racing authorities to ensure each season is flawlessly executed, maintaining the highest standards.

Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyai, the Director-General of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, stated that all technical and administrative preparations have been finalized. He confirmed that the team has diligently worked to ready the racecourse, facilities, and essential services to welcome fans. His remarks reflect the club’s commitment to hosting another successful racing season.

With the racecourse expected to draw a significant number of fans, including locals and visitors keen on UAE horse racing, many families, racing aficionados, and professionals will likely attend the opening race. The club has ensured every aspect—from seating to safety measures—is prepared for public enjoyment. The objective is to create a delightful and comfortable experience for all attendees.

As the 2025–2026 racing season approaches, expectations are high. With several races lined up, robust participation from horse owners, and a meticulously prepared racecourse, this season promises fierce competition and unforgettable moments. As the first race draws near, excitement is building among fans eagerly awaiting another thrilling chapter in UAE horse racing.
