Arafah Sermon at Namirah Mosque Highlights Unity and Piety

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Today, at Namirah Mosque, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi, Imam of the Prophet’s Mosque, delivered a significant sermon during Arafah, attended by numerous pilgrims and dignitaries.

In his address, Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi underscored the monumental role of Hajj as a foundational principle of Islam, rooted in sincere devotion and total submission to Allah. He emphasized that this pilgrimage serves as a vital occasion for unity, cooperation, and understanding among Muslims across the globe.

The Imam stressed the necessity of maintaining good conduct during Hajj, advocating for honesty, the avoidance of sins, and steering clear of arguments and divisive rhetoric. He urged the faithful to adhere to decorum, remain tranquil, and comply with crowd management protocols to ensure safety.

Sheikh Al-Hudhaifi elaborated on key Islamic teachings, emphasizing reverence for Allah and adherence to divine instructions. He also delineated the correct sequence of Hajj rituals, imploring pilgrims to cultivate tranquility and orderliness throughout their spiritual journey.

Concluding his sermon, he prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims' Hajj, the solidarity of the Muslim community, and the ongoing success of Saudi leadership in preserving the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques.

Following the sermon, pilgrims collectively performed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers in a shortened format, in accordance with the Sunnah.
