Sheikh Hamdan Celebrates National Defence College's Latest Graduates

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, was present at the graduation ceremony for the 13th cohort of the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi.

During his address, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of nurturing national leaders equipped with strategic insight and visionary thinking, which aligns with the UAE's leadership aspirations. He acknowledged Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's contributions towards fostering qualified talents to safeguard the nation's accomplishments while enhancing security and stability.

He also highlighted Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's commitment to investing in human capital, empowering talents, and cultivating future leaders.

Sheikh Hamdan recognized the National Defence College's critical role in equipping leaders with profound knowledge, skill, and strategic foresight, which are essential for bolstering national security and government preparedness for upcoming challenges.

He remarked that investing in adept national leaders is a long-term investment in the nation's future, fostering a culture enriched with excellence, innovation, and strategic planning crucial for the continuous advancement and leadership of the UAE on a global stage.

He extended his congratulations to the graduates for their academic achievements, commending their dedication, skills, and readiness to contribute to national development.

The event saw attendance by high-ranking officials, including Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, and Lt. General Staff Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, among other senior military figures.

The graduating class comprised participants from the UAE and numerous allied nations, underscoring the college’s pivotal role in cultivating leadership and strategic knowledge.

Major General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, Commandant of the College, articulated that the institution's mission is to equip future leaders with understanding for navigating change, addressing strategic hurdles, and reinforcing national security.

At the conclusion of the event, Sheikh Hamdan recognized top-performing graduates, congratulated the entire cohort, and participated in commemorative photos with graduates and faculty members.
