Post by : Badri Ariffin

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, convened with officials from Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) at Emirates Towers to evaluate the implementation and progress of new educational initiatives within the framework of Dubai's Education 33 Strategy.

During this pivotal meeting, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the investment in human capital remains a fundamental national goal for the UAE, deeply rooted in the guidance of the country's leadership. He highlighted that these efforts are inspired by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE. He reiterated that premium education is a cornerstone of national development and empowerment.

Dubai's Commitment to a Future-Oriented Education System

Sheikh Hamdan stated that Dubai is dedicated to establishing a cohesive education system that resonates with the UAE's values while nurturing individuals equipped to safeguard the nation's progress and promote the emirate's standing on a global scale. The educational framework is designed to foster skill development, encouraging students to thrive academically while staying connected to their identity and culture, thereby preparing them for international competition.

He commended KHDA’s commitment to enhancing Dubai’s educational outcomes, bringing them in line with international excellence.

Vision for Empowering Learners

In his remarks, Sheikh Hamdan stated: "We aspire for every learner to be exceptional, embodying the ethos of our nation. This is achieved by fostering qualities and skills ingrained with a strong Emirati identity and the values imparted by our Founding Fathers, designed to empower UAE citizens with knowledge and readiness for the future. Our continuous aim is to cultivate a generation adept in life skills crucial for making a positive community impact and contributing to the nation’s development."

KHDA Highlights Key Educational Initiatives

The meeting included the presence of prominent figures such as His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, and His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of The Executive Council of Dubai, alongside Her Excellency Aisha Miran, KHDA Director General.

During the session, the KHDA team presented its key initiatives for the current year, aimed at enhancing Arabic language proficiency, boosting student wellbeing, and equipping learners with vital life skills and competencies applicable for the future.

These initiatives are crafted to assist both learners and parents throughout the education cycle, aligning seamlessly with the goals outlined in Dubai's Education 33 Strategy.

Overview of Dubai's Education 33 Strategy

Dubai's Education 33 Strategy is designed to offer a customized learning pathway for each student, commencing from early childhood and advancing through schooling, higher education, and lifelong learning.

This strategy embodies Dubai’s vision of embedding lifelong learning principles while nurturing students who take pride in their cultural identity. It also seeks to cultivate open-minded individuals ready to navigate their own educational journeys with autonomy and adaptability.
