Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Leads Eid Al-Adha Prayers at Sheikh Zayed Mosque

Post by : Badri Ariffin

On Wednesday, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended Eid Al-Adha prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, accompanied by senior UAE leaders, officials, and numerous worshippers.

Present at the ceremony were Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Numerous high-ranking officials from the ruling family and government were also in attendance, including Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and several others.

During the sermon, delivered by Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, the themes of honesty and sincerity in nation-building were emphasized.

The sermon, entitled “Our Eid is sincerity and sacrifice,” pointed out that trust and stability in society stem from honesty. Dr. Al Darei noted that the UAE's leadership has fostered a nation rooted in principles of honesty and unity, contributing to its remarkable progress.

He further elaborated that true honesty embodies loyalty to one's country and genuine service to the community. He urged the importance of nurturing good values in children, fulfilling responsibilities, and actively participating in national development.

After the prayers, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed shared Eid greetings with the congregation and recited Surah Al Fatiha in memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
