Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, graced the second iteration of the Middle East and North Africa Bitcoin Conference (Bitcoin MENA 2025) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). This initiative, organized by ADNEC Group in collaboration with global entity BTC Inc, convened international experts in digital technology, blockchain, and decentralized finance to deliberate on the horizons of digital assets.
In his address, Sheikh Nahyan emphasized the conference as a vital forum for uniting specialists, innovators, and policy architects, thus strengthening the UAE’s status as a preeminent center for emerging technologies. He acknowledged that Bitcoin MENA 2025 symbolizes the UAE's dedication to fusing traditional principles with contemporary technology, simultaneously bolstering Abu Dhabi’s evolving stature in the global digital economy.
Further, he praised the pivotal role of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in propelling technology and digital advancements. Sheikh Nahyan remarked that the significance of digital currencies is growing, fostering transparency, efficiency, and the establishment of sophisticated financial systems catering to future needs.
The conference showcased over 234 speakers from 62 nations and drew participation from more than 500 exhibitors and brands. Participants explored trends concerning Bitcoin, blockchain, and the decentralized economy while exchanging insights on the challenges and prospects of digital finance. The concurrent exhibition highlighted innovations from mining enterprises, technology developers, investment platforms, and financial institutions, promoting the embrace of digital assets.
This event underscores Abu Dhabi’s expanding role as a global hub for dialogue, innovation, and economic diversification. The alliance between ADNEC, BTC Inc, and global stakeholders enhances collaboration in one of the fastest-growing tech sectors, reinforcing the UAE’s vision for leading knowledge-based development and excellence in the global digital economy.
