Sherry Singh has made India proud by becoming the first Indian woman in 48 years to win the prestigious Mrs Universe 2025 title. The grand finale, held at Okada, Manila, Philippines, saw over 120 contestants from around the world compete for the crown.
Married for nine years and a mother to a young son, Sherry expressed her joy after winning, saying, "This victory is not just mine, it belongs to every woman who has dared to dream beyond limits. True beauty is defined by strength, kindness, and resilience." Videos from the event showed an emotional Sherry celebrating on stage as confetti rained down.
Her mentor, Urmimala Boruah, National Director of UMB Pageants, praised Sherry’s journey, stating, "Sherry has always had immense potential. Her historic win brings pride to India and sets an inspiring example for every woman representing her country with confidence."
UMB Pageants shared a statement highlighting Sherry’s achievement: "After 48 long years, the Mrs Universe crown returns to India. Sherry Singh’s dedication, grace, and perseverance have brought glory to the nation. This is a proud moment for India and the UMB Pageants family."
The competition evaluated contestants not just on outer beauty but also on intelligence, compassion, and social responsibility. Sherry has actively worked with organizations supporting education for underprivileged girls and advocates for emotional well-being.
Sherry holds a Master’s degree in Fashion and is a former national-level basketball player. She also has a growing social media presence, sharing her fitness routines, fashion tips, and spiritual journey as a devoted follower of Lord Krishna.
With this historic win, Sherry Singh has firmly established herself as a symbol of strength, resilience, and grace on the global stage, inspiring women across India and the world.
