Srinagar Madrasa Fire 200 Students Rescued

Post by : Shakul

A major fire broke out at a madrasa in Srinagar’s Hyderpora area, triggering panic among residents and students. The incident raised serious concerns about safety in educational institutions.

Authorities confirmed that nearly 200 students were safely evacuated from the building, preventing what could have been a major tragedy. Quick action by staff and emergency teams ensured that all students were brought to safety in time.

Firefighters rushed to the scene with multiple fire tenders and began operations to control the blaze. After intense efforts, the fire was brought under control, though significant damage was reported to the structure.

According to initial reports, the fire spread rapidly through the building, making evacuation efforts challenging. Thick smoke and flames engulfed large portions of the madrasa.

During the rescue operation, a few individuals, including a firefighter, sustained injuries. They were immediately provided medical attention and are reported to be stable.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the incident occurred. Safety checks are also expected to be conducted in nearby institutions.

Officials have praised the swift response of emergency services, emphasizing that timely action played a crucial role in preventing loss of life in this alarming incident.
