On a sparkling Monday night, Hollywood Boulevard was alive with excitement as Sydney Sweeney made a stunning appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of The Housemaid. The 28-year-old actress looked like a classic star in a custom white gown designed by Galia Lahav, which was tailored just for this glamorous occasion. Fans and photographers alike were instantly drawn to her captivating presence, setting an elegant tone for the event.
The gown was a true testament to elegance, featuring a sleeveless design with a plunging neckline, a corseted waist, and a ruched bodice. The soft, billowing fabric flowed gracefully as she moved, while a feathered hem added a touch of whimsy, reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress from The Seven Year Itch. This striking outfit blended classic Hollywood charm with modern sophistication. Complementing her look, Sweeney styled her long blonde locks in gentle waves, while her classic makeup featured a bold red lip that contrasted beautifully against the white fabric. Minimal jewelry, limited to diamond studs, allowed the gown to take center stage.
Co-star Amanda Seyfried also made headlines with her striking red gown, embellished with glossy beadwork and a cinched midsection. Brandon Sklenar, who portrays Andrew Winchester in the film, joined the central trio on the red carpet. Other notable attendees included Indiana Elle, Megan Ferguson, Ellen Tamaki, and director Paul Feig with his wife Laurie, all contributing to the star-studded ambiance.
Celebrity guests such as Miranda Cosgrove, Tyler Posey, Awkwafina, and Skai Jackson further elevated the glamorous atmosphere. The premiere was a spectacular celebration filled with style and excitement that left photographers and fans alike mesmerized.
Adapted from Freida McFadden's bestselling novel, The Housemaid tells the gripping story of Millie Calloway, played by Sweeney. Millie's journey takes a dramatic turn as she leaves her troubled past behind to work as a live-in maid for a wealthy couple, Nina and Andrew Winchester (portrayed by Seyfried and Sklenar). What starts as an opportunity for stability quickly spirals into a tangled web of secrets and suspense, combining drama and thriller elements that keeps audiences on their toes.
With its exceptional cast, glamorous red carpet, and captivating plot, the premiere of The Housemaid was a standout event, firmly establishing Sydney Sweeney as one of Hollywood's shining stars.
