A man has died following a road accident in Taungoo after a collision between a truck and a motorcycle. The incident took place on the evening of April 3 in Ward No. 23 of Taungoo Township.
According to police reports, a six-wheeled Mitsubishi Canter truck was turning onto a road near a local school when it collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The motorcycle rider, identified as Min Min Htun, 23, sustained serious injuries in the crash.
Despite being rushed for medical attention, the victim later died due to his injuries. Authorities confirmed that the truck driver has been taken into custody as part of the investigation into the accident.
A case has been registered under Section 304-A of the Penal Code, and further legal proceedings are underway. Officials have urged drivers to follow road safety rules to prevent such tragic incidents.
