TCGC Drives SME Growth With New Strategy Push

TCGC Drives SME Growth With New Strategy Push

Post by : Shakul

Thailand is strengthening its support system for small and medium-sized enterprises as the Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation held its first Town Hall meeting of the year. The event focused on building a clear vision for the future and improving the way financial support is delivered to businesses across the country. It also aimed to motivate employees and align them with the organization’s long-term goals.

The meeting took place on April 30, 2026, in Bangkok at a major conference venue. It was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online participation from employees and representatives across the country. More than four hundred executives and staff members attended the event, showing strong engagement within the organization.

The session was led by Dr. Sittikorn Direksunthorn, who presented the organization’s work plan and direction for the next few years. He explained that the main goal is to improve the efficiency of supporting SMEs, which play a vital role in driving Thailand’s economy.

During his address, he emphasized the importance of making financial services more accessible to small businesses. Many SMEs face challenges such as lack of collateral, limited credit access, and financial instability. The organization aims to reduce these barriers and ensure that more businesses can benefit from formal financial systems.

The strategy introduced at the meeting focuses on four key areas. These include improving financial inclusion, increasing business opportunities, upgrading the organization to match financial innovation, and connecting to a growing digital financial ecosystem. These steps are expected to modernize the way support is provided to SMEs.

Officials also highlighted the impact of current global challenges on businesses, including rising costs and economic uncertainty. Small traders, vendors, and self-employed individuals are among the most affected groups. The organization plans to expand its assistance programs to ensure these vulnerable groups receive the support they need.

The Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation has set an ambitious target for loan guarantees this year. It aims to achieve a large volume of guaranteed loans to help businesses access funding more easily. Recent data shows strong growth in this area, indicating that existing support measures are already making a positive impact.

Another important initiative discussed was the introduction of a new strategy called “TCGC Ready.” This includes expanded services to guarantee loans, assist borrowers, and provide additional support through digital platforms. One of the key highlights is a new system that allows businesses to evaluate their readiness for loans and improve their financial profiles.

The organization also reinforced its commitment to transparency and ethical practices. During the meeting, all employees pledged to follow a strict no-gift policy, ensuring that operations remain fair and free from corruption. This step is expected to strengthen trust and maintain high standards within the organization.

Overall, the meeting marked an important milestone for the Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation. With a strong focus on innovation, accessibility, and transparency, the organization aims to become a key financial gateway for SMEs and support their sustainable growth in the years ahead.
