UAE Extradition: Teen Faces Charges in Westminster Murder

UAE Extradition: Teen Faces Charges in Westminster Murder

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Eighteen-year-old Enzo Bettamio has been extradited from the UAE to the UK, facing charges for the murder of 27-year-old Kamonnan Thiamphanit, known as Angela.

He arrived in the UK from Dubai on Friday and was charged shortly afterward, appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court the following day.

During his hearing, Bettamio was remanded in custody, with a future appearance scheduled at the Old Bailey on 28 April. While he confirmed his identity in court, he did not enter a plea.

The Metropolitan Police reported that Thiamphanit was discovered with numerous stab wounds in her home in Westminster on 8 April 2024, and she was declared dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, overseeing the investigation, expressed gratitude towards the victim’s family and friends for their patience and support throughout this challenging time.

Authorities have notified Thiamphanit’s family of recent updates and assured them continued support from specialized officers.

Thiamphanit held dual Chinese-Hong Kong and Thai citizenship, having lived in the UK for about nine years. She originally moved there for university studies and later worked in property management.
