Thai Princess Health Worsens Amid Infections

Thai Princess Health Worsens Amid Infections

Post by : Shakul

Thailand’s Royal Palace has announced that the medical condition of Princess Bajrakitiyabha has worsened following multiple infections affecting several organs in her body. Doctors are reportedly struggling to stabilise her irregular heart rhythm as concerns grow over the princess’s long-term health condition.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the eldest daughter of King Vajiralongkorn, has remained in a coma since December 2022 after collapsing due to a heart-related condition combined with severe infections. The 47-year-old royal has been receiving continuous medical treatment for more than three years.

According to the palace statement, doctors recently discovered a stomach infection that later caused inflammation in her intestines. The complications reportedly led to a dangerous drop in blood pressure and worsening irregular heartbeat conditions, creating additional medical challenges for the treatment team.

Medical specialists have used advanced medicines and life-support equipment to assist the princess’s lungs and kidneys. Despite these intensive efforts, officials confirmed that her overall condition continues to decline and remains highly critical.

The Royal Palace stated that physicians will continue monitoring the princess closely while exploring additional treatment options. The announcement has drawn widespread public attention in Thailand, where Princess Bajrakitiyabha remains a respected member of the royal family.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha has long been involved in legal, diplomatic, and humanitarian work throughout Thailand. She previously served in various public roles and represented the monarchy at international events before her sudden collapse in 2022 shocked the nation.

The latest health update comes during a sensitive period for Thailand’s royal institution following the passing of the influential Queen Mother last year at the age of 93. Royal watchers say the princess’s deteriorating health has once again raised public concern over the future of senior members within the Thai monarchy.

Thai citizens continue to follow updates on the princess’s condition closely as messages of support and prayers for her recovery spread across social media and local communities.
