Over 8.86 Million Register for Thailand Welfare Scheme

Over 8.86 Million Register for Thailand Welfare Scheme

Post by : Shakul

Thailand’s Ministry of Finance has reported strong participation in the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project, with more than 8.86 million existing State Welfare Card holders completing the registration process during the first two days of the campaign. The initiative aims to ensure that eligible citizens continue receiving government assistance and welfare benefits.

According to Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Atthapol Atthaworadej, a total of 8,865,427 registrations were recorded as of midnight on June 5, 2026. The majority of applicants completed the process through online channels, highlighting the growing adoption of digital government services across the country.

Among the registered applicants, more than 8.45 million individuals have successfully confirmed their eligibility. However, approximately 410,699 registrants still have incomplete verification records and are being urged to review and complete the registration process before the deadline.

Government data showed that registrations were submitted through multiple platforms, including the official welfare websites, government mobile applications, the Paotang app, participating banks, and Krung Thai Bank ATMs. Authorities have encouraged citizens to regularly check their registration status through the available channels.

Officials explained that applicants who receive a status message indicating incorrect identification card information should restart the registration process using any approved registration channel. Those whose information remains under verification are advised to recheck their status on the following day.

The Ministry of Finance emphasized the importance of carefully reviewing all submitted information before confirming registration. Applicants are also advised to continue monitoring their registration status until the system displays a successful confirmation message to avoid any issues during the eligibility assessment process.

The final eligibility verification results for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project are scheduled to be announced on July 17, 2026. Authorities believe the program will continue to play a significant role in supporting low-income households and strengthening Thailand’s social welfare system.
