Triptii Dimri has quietly shown support for Deepika Padukone amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit. After replacing Deepika as the female lead in the project, Triptii liked a social media reel that praised Deepika’s professionalism, a gesture fans are interpreting as a show of solidarity between the two actresses.
The reel, shared by celebrity saree stylist Dolly Jain, highlighted Deepika’s dedication, recalling how she performed the song Nagada Sang Dhol barefoot despite injuries while wearing a 30 kg lehenga. It also spoke about the impact of negative publicity and online hate campaigns, which can distort public perception of actors.
Triptii’s action did not go unnoticed, with fans quickly taking to social media to praise her gesture. One fan wrote, “Triptii has experienced online hate herself. It’s high time everyone starts showing grace instead of spreading negativity.”

Triptii Dimri has faced criticism herself in the past, including rumors about being dropped from Aashiqui 3, making her act of support for Deepika all the more significant. Online communities have pointed out the double standards in the film industry, noting that women asking for reasonable working conditions or fees are often labeled as “difficult,” while men rarely face similar scrutiny.
Deepika Padukone, originally cast in Spirit, reportedly left the film due to creative and financial differences. Sources claim she requested limited working hours post-motherhood, a share of the profits, and a higher fee, which the producers could not accommodate. Her exit sparked widespread speculation and online criticism.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga also fueled tensions with cryptic social media posts, suggesting that an unnamed actor had broken an “unsaid NDA” and accusing them of undermining the story. He used the hashtag #dirtyPRgames, intensifying the public debate.
Triptii Dimri’s quiet support has shifted the online conversation, earning her praise for choosing grace over gossip. Fans have lauded the camaraderie between the two actresses, calling it inspiring to see women supporting each other in Bollywood.
Currently, Deepika Padukone is busy shooting for King alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Arshad Warsi. Triptii Dimri was last seen in Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi.
