South Indian film star Trisha Krishnan has once again become a talking point on social media after sharing a photo with R. Parthiban’s daughter, Keerthana Parthiban, just days after the actor’s controversial remarks about her sparked debate online.
The photo was posted on Trisha’s Instagram Story during the wedding celebrations of designer Eka Lakhani and producer Ravi Bhagchandka held in Mumbai. In the image, Trisha and Keerthana were seen posing together with other guests at the ceremony.
Trisha also reshared a selfie originally posted by writer-director Sanaa Mariam. The picture featured several attendees at the wedding, including Keerthana, with Trisha captioning the moment humorously as “The Gen Z’s and I.”
The pictures quickly went viral because they surfaced shortly after Parthiban’s comments about the actress at an awards event. During a speech at the Galatta Awards, Parthiban joked about Trisha’s character Kundavai from Ponniyin Selvan and suggested she should stay at home instead of attending public events, a remark that triggered criticism online.
Trisha later responded strongly to the comments in a post on the social media platform X, stating that having a microphone does not make a remark intelligent or humorous. The post received widespread support from fans and several industry followers. Following the backlash, Parthiban issued an apology.
The controversy was further amplified by recent public appearances involving Trisha and Tamil superstar Vijay. The two actors attended a wedding reception together in Chennai earlier this month, arriving in the same car and posing for photographs.
Their appearance sparked widespread speculation online, particularly because Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had reportedly filed for divorce in December 2025, with the development becoming public in February 2026.
Trisha and Vijay are one of the most popular on-screen pairs in Tamil cinema, having worked together in successful films such as Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi. After a gap of nearly 15 years, they reunited in the 2023 blockbuster Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Despite the ongoing speculation and public discussions surrounding their relationship, neither Vijay nor Trisha has officially commented on the rumours. The recent wedding photos have nevertheless drawn attention online, with fans discussing the timing of Trisha’s post amid the ongoing controversy.
