Turkmenistan strengthened its global energy engagement through active participation in the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) 2026 held in Kuala Lumpur. The event, hosted by PETRONAS, brought together thousands of participants from over 80 countries, including industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts.
The conference focused on building a resilient and integrated energy system, with discussions centered on offshore development, digital transformation, and sustainable energy solutions. Industry leaders highlighted the growing importance of innovation and technology in ensuring energy security and efficiency across global markets.
Turkmenistan’s participation emphasized its commitment to expanding international cooperation and modernizing its energy sector. Delegates held meetings with global stakeholders, training institutions, and academic partners to explore collaboration in technical training, knowledge transfer, and workforce development.
Key discussions were also held with Malaysian partners and international organizations to strengthen long-term partnerships. Turkmenistan extended invitations to upcoming energy events in Ashgabat, aiming to translate dialogue into practical cooperation in areas such as technology transfer and industry-academia collaboration.
