Turkmenistan Trade Auctions Cross $13M

Post by : Shakul

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan recorded strong trading activity last week as the total value of transactions exceeded 13 million 66 thousand US dollars.

According to official reports, a total of 19 transactions were registered during the auction sessions at the exchange. International buyers from several countries participated in the trade deals involving energy products, industrial materials, textiles, and agricultural goods.

Business representatives from Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced by the state companies Türkmengaz and Türkmenhimiýa. Foreign buyers also acquired desulphurized diesel fraction supplied by Türkmenhimiýa.

Additional export products sold during the auctions included bedding sets, fatty acids from cottonseed oil residues, dry liquorice root extract, raw silk, and cotton yarn. Buyers from Hong Kong, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the UAE took part in these transactions.

Officials stated that the combined value of foreign currency transactions surpassed 13 million US dollars, reflecting continued international demand for Turkmenistan’s industrial and agricultural products.

Domestic entrepreneurs were also active during the trading sessions. Local businesses purchased base oil, raw fabric, purified cottonseed oil, and wheat flour for the domestic market.

The value of domestic market transactions reached more than 118 million 350 thousand Turkmen manats, highlighting strong internal trade activity alongside export operations.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange remains one of Turkmenistan’s key economic institutions, helping promote international trade partnerships and support exports across multiple sectors including energy, textiles, and agriculture.
