UAE Advocates for International Collaboration Against Muslim Brotherhood at EU Forum

The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Party organized a significant conference addressing the Muslim Brotherhood and the impact of political Islam. This event welcomed Members of the European Parliament from various affiliations, along with senior officials including His Excellency Mohammed Ismail Al-Sahlawi, UAE Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

During the forum, attendees examined the challenges that the Muslim Brotherhood presents and its implications for European societies. Speakers highlighted its recruitment strategies and raised concerns regarding its purported role in destabilizing security. Numerous contributors commended the United Arab Emirates for officially marking the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, emphasizing the need for the international community to take notes from the UAE's proactive measures against extremism.

In his address, Ambassador Mohammed Ismail Al-Sahlawi reiterated the UAE's unwavering pledge to fight against terrorism, extremism, and violence. He confirmed the UAE's active stance in countering the destabilizing activities of Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated factions globally.

Al-Sahlawi spotlighted the UAE's strategy of fostering coexistence, tolerance, and peaceful values, firmly rejecting all manifestations of violence and extremism. He underscored the necessity for enhanced international and regional collaboration to efficiently tackle terrorism and extremist ideologies.

The ambassador also expressed his approval of various nations designating specific Muslim Brotherhood branches in the region as terrorist entities. He pointed out that these actions stem from official documents connecting these branches with illicit activities across borders, promoting extremist views, and alleged ties to terrorist organizations.

According to Al-Sahlawi, such initiatives are pivotal to ongoing efforts aimed at curbing violence and combating threats to security and stability. He reaffirmed the UAE's support for global initiatives focused on countering terrorism and fostering peace, security, and stability both regionally and internationally.

The conference wrapped up with attendees stressing the importance of sustained collaboration among governments and institutions to confront extremist dangers and ensure the safety of societies globally.
