Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, engaged in a pivotal discussion with Italy’s Defence Minister, Guido Crosetto, aimed at reinforcing defense and security ties between the nations.
Their dialogue centered on enhancing mutual defense collaboration while tackling shared security concerns. They also assessed recent events in the Middle East, considering their implications for both regional and global stability, placing substantial emphasis on maritime security.
During this meeting, the Italian minister expressed firm disapproval of the recent Iranian strikes against the UAE and neighboring countries, asserting that these actions undermine national sovereignty and international law, subsequently threatening regional peace.
Guido Crosetto also delivered best wishes from Italy’s Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, affirming her hopes for continued stability and prosperity for the UAE.
